Atacand Tab 16mg contains candesartan cilexetil, which is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and heart failure.
It belongs to the class of drugs known as angiotensin II receptor blockers (ARBs).
Candesartan works by blocking the effects of angiotensin II, a substance that causes blood vessels to narrow. This helps blood vessels relax and widen, reducing blood pressure and improving blood flow.

Common side effects may include dizziness, headache, fatigue, and increased potassium levels.
