Description
Atorvastatin 10mg tablets are used to lower high cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the blood.
They belong to the statin class of drugs, which work by inhibiting the enzyme HMG-CoA reductase in the liver, responsible for cholesterol production.
This reduces low-density lipoprotein (LDL or “bad” cholesterol) and triglycerides, while increasing high-density lipoprotein (HDL or “good” cholesterol).
