Description
Cirotamin Syrup is a liquid supplement formulated to support growth and development in pregnant women, children, and adolescents. It is also used to manage conditions such as perennial and seasonal allergic rhinitis, vasomotor rhinitis, allergic conjunctivitis due to inhalant allergens and foods, allergic reactions to blood or plasma, cold urticaria, dermatographism, vitamin deficiencies, and to promote growth and development in children and teens.
Each 5 ml of Cirotamin Syrup contains 4 mg of cyproheptadine hydrochloride, along with multivitamins including vitamin B1, B2, B6, nicotinamide, and the amino acid L-lysine. These ingredients work synergistically to enhance appetite, support immune function, and aid in overall growth and development.
The recommended dosage is 1-2 teaspoons (5-10 ml) taken three times daily for children, and 2 teaspoons (10 ml) taken three times daily for adults. It is important to consult a healthcare provider before starting this supplement, especially if you have existing health conditions or are taking other medications.
Common side effects may include dizziness, drowsiness, and gastrointestinal discomfort. Cirotamin Syrup is contraindicated in individuals with angle-closure glaucoma, bladder neck obstruction, hypersensitivity to cyproheptadine or other similar drugs, and should be used cautiously in elderly or debilitated patients, those with hepatic coma, impaired nitrogen utilization, or those on monoamine oxidase inhibitor therapy. It is also not recommended for use in newborns, premature infants, or nursing mothers.
Store the syrup in a dry place at a temperature not exceeding 30°C, and protect it from sunlight.
