Ephedrine 1% (Archdiocesan) Drops
Ephedrine 1% Drops are a nasal decongestant used to relieve blocked or congested nasal passages. They contain the active ingredient Ephedrine, a sympathomimetic agent that works by constricting blood vessels in the nasal lining, thereby reducing swelling and allowing easier breathing.
Ephedrine 1% Drops are commonly used for the treatment of: Nasal congestion due to the common cold, Sinus congestion, Allergic rhinitis (hay fever), and temporary relief of blocked nasal passages associated with upper respiratory infections.
The drops are administered intranasally by placing 1–2 drops into each nostril, usually 2–3 times daily, or as directed by a healthcare professional.
Always follow the recommended dosage and duration of use, as prolonged use may lead to rebound nasal congestion or irritation of the nasal lining.
Some users may experience mild side effects such as: Nasal irritation, dryness, burning sensation in the nose, or sneezing.
If severe irritation, palpitations, dizziness, or unusual symptoms occur, medical attention should be sought immediately.
Do not use if you are allergic to ephedrine or other sympathomimetic medicines.
Inform your doctor if you have high blood pressure, heart disease, thyroid disorders, glaucoma, or are taking medications such as monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), as caution may be required.
Store in a cool, dry place below 25°C, away from direct sunlight, and keep out of reach of children.
