– In patients with type 2 diabetes and hypertension, therapy should be initiated with a dose of 150mg once daily, adjusted up to 300mg once daily as the recommended maintenance dose for the treatment of nephropathy.

– **Common Side Effects:** Dizziness, lightheadedness, and fatigue.
– **Serious Side Effects:** Elevated potassium levels, low blood pressure, and kidney dysfunction.

– **Interactions:** May interact with other antihypertensive agents, potassium supplements, and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
