IBUCAPS CAPS are capsules containing ibuprofen, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID).
Primary Medical Uses:
– Relief of mild to moderate pain such as headaches, toothaches, menstrual pain, muscle aches, and arthritis.
– Reduction of fever.
– Decreasing inflammation in conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and other inflammatory disorders.

General Mechanism of Action:
– Works by inhibiting enzymes (COX-1 and COX-2) involved in the production of prostaglandins, substances that cause pain, fever, and inflammation in the body.

– Adults and children over 12 years typically take 200-400 mg every 4 to 6 hours as needed.
– Do not exceed 1200 mg per day without doctor’s advice.

– Common side effects include gastrointestinal discomfort, nausea, indigestion, and in rare cases, ulcers or bleeding.
– Not recommended for individuals with peptic ulcers, severe heart, kidney, or liver conditions.
