Description
Panadol Advanced Extra Tablet is an oral medication containing a combination of paracetamol and caffeine.
It is used to relieve mild to moderate pain such as headaches, migraines, toothaches, muscle pain, and to reduce fever.
Paracetamol acts as an analgesic and antipyretic by reducing the production of prostaglandins in the brain, while caffeine enhances the pain-relieving effect of paracetamol and helps to reduce fatigue.
These tablets are taken orally, usually every 4 to 6 hours as needed, with the maximum daily dose not exceeding the recommended limit to avoid toxicity.
Common side effects may include nervousness, restlessness, insomnia, or allergic reactions such as rash. Caution is advised in individuals sensitive to caffeine or with certain medical conditions such as liver disease or hypertension.
