Paracetamol Tab (Exeter) 30’s contains paracetamol, a commonly used medication for relieving mild to moderate pain and reducing fever.
Paracetamol is an analgesic and antipyretic that works by inhibiting the production of prostaglandins in the brain, substances that cause pain and fever.
The tablets are taken orally and typically contain 500 mg of paracetamol per tablet.
The usual adult dose is 500 mg to 1000 mg every 4 to 6 hours, with a maximum daily dose of 4000 mg (4 grams) to avoid toxicity.
Side effects are rare but may include allergic reactions such as skin rash. It should be used cautiously in individuals with liver impairment or chronic alcohol use, as overdose can cause liver damage. Avoid using multiple products containing paracetamol simultaneously.
