Salbutamol Syrup is a bronchodilator used to treat and prevent bronchospasm associated with asthma, chronic bronchitis, emphysema, and other lung diseases.

Primary Medical Uses:
– Relief and prevention of wheezing, shortness of breath, coughing, and chest tightness caused by asthma, chronic bronchitis, emphysema, and other lung diseases.

Drug Class:
– Beta-2 adrenergic receptor agonist (bronchodilator).

General Mechanism of Action:
– Relaxes the smooth muscles of the airways, leading to dilation and improved airflow, making breathing easier.

Common Forms:
– Oral syrup, typically containing 2 mg of salbutamol sulfate per 5 ml.

Dosage Instructions:
– Adults: 5–10 ml (2–4 mg) taken 3–4 times daily.
– Children (2–6 years): 2.5–5 ml (1–2 mg) taken 3–4 times daily.
– Children (6–12 years): 5 ml (2 mg) taken 3–4 times daily.
– Children over 12 years: 5–10 ml (2–4 mg) taken 3–4 times daily.
– Not recommended for children under 2 years.
– Shake the bottle well before use.
– Store below 30°C in a dry place, protected from light.
