Tixylix Children’s Cough Syrup is a soothing cough suppressant formulated to relieve dry, tickly coughs in children aged 3 months to 5 years.
**Primary Uses:**
– Alleviates dry, tickly coughs in children.

– Cough suppressant (demulcent).
**General Mechanism of Action:**
– Contains glycerol, which coats and soothes the throat, reducing the urge to cough.
**Common Forms:**
– Oral syrup in 100 ml bottles.
**Dosage Instructions:**
– For children aged 3 months to under 1 year: one 5 ml spoonful, 3 to 4 times daily.
– For children aged 1 to 5 years: two 5 ml spoonfuls, 3 to 4 times daily.
– Allow 3 to 4 hours between doses.
– Use the measuring spoon provided for accurate dosing.
**Side Effects, Contraindications, or Interactions:**
– Generally well-tolerated.
– Contains maltitol, which may have a mild laxative effect.
– Not recommended for children under 3 months.
– Do not use if allergic to any ingredients.
– Consult a healthcare professional if symptoms persist for more than 3 days.
