Description
Xylo-Acino Adult is a nasal decongestant spray containing 0.1% xylometazoline hydrochloride. It is primarily used to relieve nasal congestion associated with conditions such as the common cold, sinusitis, hay fever, and allergies. Xylometazoline works by constricting the blood vessels in the nasal passages, reducing swelling and congestion, thereby facilitating easier breathing.
The spray is available in a 10 ml bottle. For adults and children aged 6 years and over, the recommended dosage is one spray in each nostril, repeated if necessary, up to 3-4 times per day. Before first use, pump the spray a few times until a fine mist is produced. Insert the nozzle into the nostril and press firmly once to administer. After use, replace the protective cap.
Common side effects may include temporary nasal irritation or dryness, sneezing, and increased nasal discharge. Rarely, systemic effects such as headache or increased blood pressure may occur. Prolonged use beyond 7 days is not advised, as it may lead to rebound congestion. Consult a healthcare professional before use if you have conditions such as hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, thyroid disorders, or prostate enlargement. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should seek medical advice prior to use.
