Renangio Plus Tab (40/12.5) contains Telmisartan 40 mg and Hydrochlorothiazide (HCT) 12.5 mg.
Primary Medical Uses:
– Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure).
– Used when blood pressure is not adequately controlled by Telmisartan alone.
Drug Class or Type:
– Combination antihypertensive medication.
– Telmisartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB).
– Hydrochlorothiazide is a thiazide diuretic.
General Mechanism of Action:
– Telmisartan blocks angiotensin II receptors, relaxing blood vessels and lowering blood pressure.
– Hydrochlorothiazide helps eliminate excess salt and water through urine, reducing blood volume and pressure.
