– For infants, the recommended infusion rate is 6–8 mL per kg of body weight per hour; for toddlers, 4–6 mL per kg per hour; and for school children, 2–4 mL per kg per hour.
– In patients with burns, during the first 24 hours, administer 4 mL of solution per kg and percent burn for adults, and 3 mL per kg and percent burn for children.
